Denmark supports free trade and welcomes foreign investors. Denmark also aligns with EU directives on free and fair competition within the European Union. All companies registered in Denmark – both Danish and international – are free to apply for the financing and incentives available.
Denmark has comprehensive programmes for funding and financial incentives mainly focused on research & development (R&D) activities as well as attractive tax rules for expatriates and in relation to R&D.

In general, all sectors can apply for funding and financial incentives for research & development. In addition, particular funding is available for the following sectors: Biotech, pharmaceuticals, medico, life science, environment, energy, ICT, food, agriculture and transportation.
