Carlsberg have put DKK 25 million (USD 3.3 million) into the project to cover three years of the new company's operation. VersaMatrix is expected to break even after 5 years.

Combio uses polymer pellets for applications in connection with the development of new candidate drug molecules, while VersaMatrix will develop the pellet technology for drug production, so that they can be sold to major biotech and medical groups.
