Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport installs high speed internet access system for business travellers

E-Pressen.dk reports that Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport is among the first in the world to use Cisco Mobile Office, which offers business travellers high speed wireless connection to the Internet. Cisco Access Points have already been installed in the airport's international terminals. According to E-Pressen, a total of 19 airports in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) are now using the system. Today's business travellers make ever increasing demands for continuous internet access over their companies' networks when they are travelling, and Cisco Mobile Office claims to provide the safety and stability that internet mediated work demands.

Situated just 7 kilometers from Central Copenhagen, Kastrup Airport is the most cost efficient airport in Northern Europe, with a 1-2-3 cargo handling strategy and a round-the-clock customs service geared to accelerating business and trade. Its efficiency is illustrated by the high number of shipments (92%) customs cleared en route. Kastrup also operates as the International hub for SAS and the Nordic/Eastern hub for DHL.
