Danish Netpoint offers wireless broadband network

2002.07.02

The Internet company NetPoint is the first company in Denmark to offer broadband from more than 20 hubs in Scandinavia.
The hubs are placed in hotel-lobbies, conference centres and tourist information centres throughout Scandinavia; access to the network is gained by using charge cards available at all NetPoint HotSpots. Payment is made in cash while the actual consumption is withdrawn from the card in units.
Netpoint expects to increase the number of HotSpots to 50 by the end of the year.
