Danish PC among world's first to feature Intel's new super-fast processor

PC manufacturer Amitech launches a model incorporating Intel's new 3.06 GHz Pentium 4 processor

Århus based computer manufacturer Amitech is one of the first in the world to launch a PC with Intel's latest 3.06 GHz Pentium 4 processor which uses hyper threading technology to boost performance. The new processor is being introduced in Amitech's SmartSize/SmartOffice PC range, which offer space saving advantages on the desktop while delivering cutting edge computational power. Noise levels are also significantly lower than with conventional PCs. The news is reported on Amitech's website.

 

Amitech is the Nordic region's largest producer of PCs with a current annual output of over 38,000 units. With its present capacity Amitech can produce 100,000 PCs per year, and over the last year volume output has grown by 40%. The Århus company, which produced its first PC in 1991, is now the top selling brand in the domestic retail market, and one of three most known PC brands in the country. Amitech employs 68 people.
