Danish company gains rights to new chip technology

Danish company Sycs has gained rights to a technology with an estimated DKK 300 billion market potential

Financial daily newspaper Børsen reports that a small Danish IT company called Sycs has gained full rights to a unique chip technology which has been under development in Russia over the last 10 years. The unique aspect of the technology is an architecture which allows several calculating modules to be combined in a single chip, thereby dramatically increasing its computational power. The market for the new technology could be worth as much as DKK 300 billion (USD 36 billion) over the next 4 years.

The technology has the potential to challenge some of the world's most powerful calculators from companies such as Texas Instruments, Intel and Motorola, says Børsen.
