IBM becomes distributor for Danish software

IBM will distribute CRM software for Copenhagen-based IT Factory

Daily broadsheet Jyllands-Posten writes that US giant IBM is to become the global distributor for Copenhagen-based IT Factory's CRM (Customer Relations Management) software, that makes it possible to control customer relations through Lotus Notes and email systems. IBM owns Lotus Notes and has over 100 million users around the world.

IBM has always had its powerbase among the big customers, but Microsoft has encroached extensively into the market for small and middle sized users. IBM has now chosen 30 companies across a number of segments to spearhead an offensive to protect their software position in relation to SMEs. IT Factory is one of just 3 companies chosen by IBM to supply CRM software for the Lotus Notes platform.
