Koki Co. establishes production facilities in Denmark

2002.03.01
The Japanese company Koki Co. Ltd. recently established Koki Europe A/S in Denmark. Koki produces soldering materials for the electronic industry and the plant in Denmark is Koki’s first in Europe. Koki has a total of 6 plants in Asia.

The Danish plant will cover the entire European market; hereby delivery costs are minimized and the service of Koki’s European customers is improved. Koki has a market share of 10% in Europe.

The total investment in Denmark amounts to DKK 15 million and production will start early October. Koki Europe currently has 10 employees; in time the number will be doubled.

Koki’s reason for choosing Denmark is the availability of dependent and competent management, a good relationship with their Danish agent, access to well-educated labour force, advantageous business- and living conditions as well as the common use of English as a working language.

In co-operation with Copenhagen Capacity, Invest in Denmark has assisted Koki Co. Ltd. in setting up in Denmark. The company has received information on Danish conditions – both general facts and tailored information – as well as practical assistance
