Maersk Data and Effective-Learning join forces to launch new e-learning company

Maersk Data and Effective-Learning are to establish a company with e-learning as its core business. The new company, called Effective-Learning A/S, will initially employ 20 people drawn from the two companies. Over the last 12 months the two founding companies have delivered e-learning solutions to Danske Bank, the international credit card acquirer PBS and marine paint manufacturer J.C. Hempel. Maersk Data has delivered e-learning solutions to the A. P. Moller Group for a number of years. The news is announced on Maersk Data's website.

Overseas companies are increasingly looking to Denmark for expertise and leadership in e-learning solutions. The main reasons for Denmark's pre-eminence in developing e-learning solutions are the high penetration, use and familiarity with the internet, coupled with a long-established educational tradition naturally predisposed to e-learning. Experience also shows that networking organizations operating with flatter structures, a prominent feature of many Scandinavian and especially Danish companies, produce much more favourable conditions for the successful development of e-learning initiatives.
