Research by Medicon Valley Academy shows healthy increase in new companies and biotech workforce
New research from Medicon Valley Academy shows that Medicon Valley's biotech companies have grown solidly over the last year. There was a net increase of 9 new companies, while the biotech workforce has grown from 2,900 to 3,300. The majority of the newcomers are researchers educated to PhD level. According to Medicon Valley Academy, Medicon Valley has further strengthened its international position over the last year, with consolidation helping companies to focus on core competencies. More strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions are anticipated in the future as Medicon Valley continues to develop as a biotech stronghold. The news is reported in Erhvervsbladet today.
