Microsoft prefers Denmark to Disneyland

Microsoft chooses Bella Center to host "Microsoft IT Forum 2002 Europe"

US software giant Microsoft is to stage its prestigious conference and exhibition "Microsoft IT Forum 2002 Europe" at Copenhagen's Bella Center in November. The facility's successful bid for the event beat off rivals including Disneyland Paris, Børsen News Online has reported. The 4 day Microsoft Forum is set to attract 8000 IT delegates from Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

According to Bella Center's MD Arne Bang Mikkelsen, Copenhagen has become increasingly popular as a congress city due to the massive investments that have been made. Bella Center has itself invested in a new high speed network that makes it possible to distribute high quality video signals to an almost unlimited number of computers.
