Another player is entering the Danish market for supplying broadband data connections to Danish companies

Another player is entering the Danish market for supplying broadband data connections to Danish companies writes daily newspaper Jyllands-Posten. The Swedish company Utfors is establishing a sales office here to stimulate traffic into the fast spreading cable net that the company is developing in the Nordic region. Utfors already has 4000 km of cable connecting 23 Nordic cities including Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and Helsinki. The company’s planned extension of the net will increase this to 7000 kilometers.

In the article, director of Utfors’ new Danish subsidiary Jan Carsten Hansen says “Today we have a net from Copenhagen to Esbjerg, down to Hamburg and returning to Copenhagen from where there is a connection to Malmö over the bridge. We are going to start building a connection up through Jutland and cover far more cities in Denmark.”
