New Biotech Park gets first resident

CMC Biotech to occupy 8,300 sq m facilities in the new Gladsaxe Biotech Park

A new biotechnology enterprise area north of Copenhagen, Gladsaxe Biotech Park, is to get its first resident in the shape of CMC Biotech, reports Berlingske Tidende Online. The principal developers behind the new park are TK Development and Nordkranen. CMC Biotech will be housed in an 8,300 square metre facility which is expected to be completed by mid 2003.

It is estimated that up to 6 biotechnology companies will be established in Gladsaxe Biotech Park, which is planned to comprise a total facility area of 33,000 square metres. The new biotechnology initiative marks a further extension to Medicon Valley, which has rapidly gained a reputation as one of the strongest biotechnology clusters in Europe, and has already attracted Biogen and Genmab.
