Sonofon and Telia launch MMS today

Sonofon and Telia join TDC and Orange in offering MMS to their customers.
From today, Sonofon and Telia join TDC and Orange in offering a Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) to their customers. Sonofon is charging for the service from day one, while the other three have all opted for free introductory periods. MMS can contains combinations of text, pictures and sound and requires mobile telephones with the necessary MMS technology installed. At present, MMS can only be sent and received between customers using the same supplier net. The different telecompanies have not yet reached an agreement on how to bill MMS charges across operators. The news is reported by Computerworld.
