TDC sees off broadband competition  


Financial daily Børsen reports that TDC is on its way to capture the whole Danish broadband market on the fixed net. Provisional numbers from Telestyrelsen show that in the second half of 2001 TDC sold almost 90% of the ADSL connections. TDC’s market share has risen from 37% to 73% as a result. There were 82,000 new ADSL customers in the Danish market in the second half of 2001. With a growth rate of 117% over six months, broadband represents one of the fastest growing businesses in the whole tele industry.
