US company acquires Danish lifecare product range  

Ambu has sold its backboard range to Ferno-Washington, Inc. for a cash price of USD 1.4 million.

Danish lifecare equipment company Ambu International has sold its spinal immobilisation backboard range to the US company Ferno-Washington Inc for a cash price of USD 1.4 million. The divestment will enable Ambu to refocus its resources in line with the company's future growth strategy. The X-ray translucent backboard ensures safe patient transport from accident site to hospital and allows the patient to remain immobilised on the board during radiological procedures. Ambu's products are sold worldwide to hospitals, emergency medical services, professional and non-professional rescuers, relief organisations, general practitioners, the armed forces and industry.
