US company Synopsis donates software worth nearly USD 5 million to Technical University of Denmark

Daily broadsheet Jyllands-Posten has reported that the US company Synopsis has donated software worth DKK 40 million (USD 4.8 million) to the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The software will enable DTU to conduct leading edge research in computer chip technology where all processes are carried out in a single chip. The software is the same as is being used by industry heavyweights such as Intel, AMD and Motorola to develop advanced one-chip systems for the future.

As a part of the deal, DTU will make their research results available to Synopsis.
