Denmark's leading wireless broadband supplier gets a DKK 25 million cash injection from US investor

butlerNetworks, the leading Danish wireless broadband access provider, has received a further DKK 25 million (USD 3.3 million) in funding from its existing US based investor Norwest Equity Partners (NEP). NEP’s commitment will enable butlerNetworks to continue executing its business plan and become a profitable, self-sustaining business. In 2000 butlerNetworks was one of 7 suppliers to gain a Danish FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) licence.

butlerNetworks provides FWA services to major telecom operators, ISPs and infrastructure providers, who then provide businesses with last mile connectivity. The new funding will increase butlerNetworks' ability to attract additional sales partners and add traffic on its extensive national FWA network which covers Copenhagen, Århus, Aalborg, Odense, Esbjerg, Silkeborg, Herning, Ringsted and Kolding. The company's use of 3rd generation equipment leverages the company’s ability to deliver product solutions from 2Mbps and scaleable in interval up to 155 Mbps.
