Aalborg University prepares for 4G with help from India

Tata Consultancy Services of India is to provide Aalborg University with experts on 4G mobile/wireless technology for a 3 year period

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) of India is to provide Aalborg University with experts on 4G mobile/wireless technology for a 3 year period, reports Computerworld. The TCS experts will participate in the development of the new technologies in IP Telephony, wireless local networks and 4G, and will also tutor students. The TCS experts will be allied to Aalborg University’s new WING Lab, which researches into communication and wireless networks.

 

India and Asia's largest IT software and services company, TCS was selected for the "Company of the Year 2002" award by Silicon India, a US-based monthly magazine for business and information technology professionals of Indian origin. Silicon India said that TCS "has been at the forefront of India's technology resurgence, providing information technology and management consulting services to organisations in 55 countries across the globe." TCS currently supports the technology needs of six of the top 10 US Fortune 500 companies.
