Aarhus Science Park to inaugurate new biotech research park at Skejby Hospital this November

Aarhus Science Park (Aarhus Forskerpark) is planning to inaugurate a new biomedical and biotechnological research park in November this year at Skejby Hospital, which lies on the outskirts of the city. The new science park, named "Biomedico in Skejby" will have 3,600 square metres of laboratory facilities and offices. Incumbents will be biotechnological and biomedical start-up companies, development activities spun off from larger companies, research groups and other biomedico related activities.

The raison d'être for Biomedico in Skejby is first and foremost the 6,500 students at Aarhus University, together with the 1,000 or so researchers connected to science and health science faculties at the university. There are also investment companies such as Østjysk Innovation and Incuba which are actively investing in new companies in the area. In addition, Aarhus County Council and Aarhus Municipality are supporting the strategic development of the regional biomedico sector. The news is reported by biotechdenmark.dk
