IT analysis company IDC has released its latest quarterly analysis which shows that the situation in the Nordic IT industry is improving

IT analysis company IDC has released its latest quarterly analysis which shows that the situation in the IT industry is improving. IDC forecasts an IT industry growth rate in the Nordic region of 1-2% in 2003 improving to 4-5% in 2004. According to IDC the Iraq conflict has been a key factor hindering larger companies’ IT investments. However the IDC IT Investment Index now shows that purchasing of IT equipment and solutions are on their way up.

 

According to IDC analysts, Denmark looks the best of the Nordic region bunch with respect to getting the expected growth under way. The Norwegian economy has registered a fall in GNP for two consecutive quarters which according to the US definition constitutes a recession. The news is reported by Computerworld online.
