Cantion receives undisclosed sum from new investors  

The new investment will enable the Danish company to continue its development work on biosensor manufacturing

Copenhagen based biochip developer Cantion has received an undisclosed sum from new investors to enable continued development work on its biosensor manufacturing. Cantion's new owners, comprising CAT-Seed, Incuba Ventures, InnFond, NKT Holding and the Danish Fund for Industrial Growth, have signed a shareholder agreement for ownership of the company.


Founded in 2001, Cantion is aiming to manufacture biochips for the nano-scale identification of proteins and nucleic acid sequences for disease diagnosis, drug development and food analysis. The company is based at the Technical University of Denmark in Copenhagen. The news is reported by national daily newspaper JyllandsPosten and on Cantion's website.
