Danish software company breaks into Asian market

Copenhagen based Maconomy gains distribution agreement with the Singapore based CalendarOne

Copenhagen based software company Maconomy has gained a distribution agreement with the Singapore based company CalendarOne. Maconomy provides web-based software solutions that optimise the management of people and projects, integrated with financial functions. It is Maconomy’s first distributor in Asia; CalendarOne has the rights to sell Maconomy’s software in the whole of Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

According to Maconomy the new agreement is of strategic importance since it opens a sizeable window of opportunity for their products on the Asian market. The deal with CalendarOne is forecast to generate a turnover of DKK 2.5 million (USD 398 thousand) in the first year. Maconomy has more than 50,000 users in 25 countries and its owners include Vertex Venture Holding (DK), J & W Seligman & Co (USA) and 3i Group Plc (UK). The news is reported by Computerworld online and on Maconomy’s website.
