Dell recruits sales staff for ambitious business drive in Denmark  

The US computer manufacturer recruits 50 more staff as it gears up to double its business in Denmark over the next three years

US computer manufacturer Dell aims to double its business in Denmark over the next three years. Globally Dell's target is to double its business in five years, so on the Danish market progress has to happen more rapidly. According to financial daily newspaper Børsen which reports the news, Dell's new director for Denmark, Canadian Guy Auger is already under way with employing 50 new sales people to meet the task.


Guy Auger says that the company plans to sell more laptops, servers and equipment mainly to SMEs and the public sector. Q3 figures from analysis company IDC show that Dell's PC market share in Denmark is close to IBM's at 15%, while HP and Compaq have larger shares. In Denmark Dell is headquartered in Copenhagen (Amager) and already employs 200 sales people.
