Denmark – the world’s second best for IT

2003.07.15
Denmark moves up from a fifth to a second place on the list of countries showing highest degree of IT-readiness
The rapid expansion of broadband has moved Denmark up three places on IDC’s list of information societies, measuring IT use and acceptance.
With Sweden as a steady no. 1, the Nordic countries dominate the top 5. Apparently, this is due to forward-looking investments in IT infrastructure by both private businesses as well as public administration. According to IDC, a high score depends on a high standard of living and a well-educated population, who has incorporated IT at an early stage.
