Denmark has the fastest spread of high speed internet connections in Europe and is among the world leaders in ADSL accessibility

A new survey from the National IT and Telecom Agency shows that Denmark has the fastest spread of high speed internet connections in Europe and is among the world leaders in ADSL accessibility. Belgium has the highest ADSL accessibility in the world with 98%, followed closely by Denmark and South Korea with 95%. It is expected that Denmark will close the gap on Belgium over the next two years.

Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Helge Sander comments that the survey is a clear competitive plus for Danish business that the country is among the world's best concerning public and commercial access to high speed internet connections. He also expressed the view that prices for ADSL and cable modem services are still too high, a situation which the government plans to address through more efficient competition. The news is reported on the National IT and Telecom Agency's website.
