Denmark's internationally known computer game company IO Interactive has introduced its latest offering "Freedom Fighters" on the world market

Denmark's internationally known computer game company IO Interactive has introduced its latest offering "Freedom Fighters" on the world market. A record figure of 800,000 games is ready for the retail sell-in worldwide at a price of at least DKK 400 (USD 60). Game director at IO Interactive Mads Prahm says the company has great expectations that the new game will sell as well as IO Interactive's Hitman series which have achieved sales figures of 2 million copies worldwide.

 

Freedom Fighters is being launched under the world's largest game distributor Electronic Arts' brand, and Electronic Arts will spend more than DKK 25 million (USD 3.8 million) marketing the game. In addition Electronic Arts has invested DKK 25 million into direct development of the game, while for its part IO Interactive has invested DKK 15 million. Besides launching a new game, IO Interactive is also moving into new and bigger premises in Copenhagen in October. The news is reported by daily broadsheet Berlingske Tidende.
