New survey shows further signs of recovery in the Danish IT sector

A company survey from Greens Analysis Institute shows that 30% are ready to make substantial IT investments

A business survey of 680 senior executives in Denmark conducted by Greens Analysis Institute indicates that a third of the companies sampled are ready to make extensive investments in IT within the next 12 months. Several large IT companies, and the industry association ITEK, interpret this as signs of an incipient upswing in the entire IT sector. Around two thirds of the respondents said that the IT investments were needed to replace existing IT products, while more than 40% said that they need to develop new and existing products.

Indications that the IT sector is on its way towards recovery are supported by results from a sector indicator devised by ITEK (a sector association for IT, tele, electronics and communication). According to ITEK director Tom Togsverd, productivity is high on the agenda in Danish companies, and the increasing activity in the IT sector evidences that fact. The news is reported by daily financial newspaper Børsen.
