The Nordic Region's biggest e-learning project gets under way

Banking group Nordea has introduced e-learning for all 38,000 employees in the Nordic Region with the help of IBM and a small Aarhus based company, Key2Know

The Nordic region's largest banking group, Nordea, has introduced e-learning for all of its 38,000 employees in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The order for the e-learning system has gone to the techno behemoth IBM and Key2Know, a small company based in Aarhus, Jutland.

Nordea believes that the e-learning system, accessed via the employees' PCs, will save both time and money in relation to traditional courses, as well as developing employee competencies on a regular and rapid basis. The banking group assessed four different e-learning systems before choosing IBM's Lotus Learning Space, to which have been added TutorPro and ToolBook developed and marketed by Key2Know. These tools make it possible to have decentralised organisation of e-learning and high productivity even from employees without special IT competencies. The news is reported by Computerworld.
