US breakthrough for Danish software company Saxotech

US media concern Gannett has chosen Saxotech's CMS for its local and regional newspaper websites

Aalborg-based software company Saxotech has entered a major contract with US media concern Gannett to supply Saxotech's web content management system (CMS) for Gannett's local and regional newspaper websites. Gannett publishes 100 daily newspapers in the US including USA Today, which has the highest circulation in the US.

 

Saxotech MD Anders Christiansen says the contract is a major breakthrough and is expected to generate an additional turnover of DKK 25 million (USD 4 million) in the next financial year. The workforce will be increased from 25 to 90 people of whom 15 will be employed in the US. Saxotech develops cross-media content management solutions for newspapers, magazines and media websites. The news is reported by Computerworld online.
