Danish and international investors pumped DKK 183 million into the Danish-American biotech company in 2003

Danish-American biotech company Acadia Pharmaceuticals received a total of DKK 183 million (USD 31 million) from Danish and international investors in 2003. Some of the money has been used to employ new staff at the chemical research centre in Denmark. Oxford Bioscience Partners from Westport Connecticut headed a long list of investors including Federated Kaufmann Fund, Hambrecht & Quist Capital Management LLC, OrbiMedAdvisors, LD Pensions, ABN AMRO Ventures, Carnegie Fund II Biotechbridge and Dansk Kapitalanlæg.


Acadia Pharmaceuticals is a drug discovery company which discovers small molecule drug candidates using its proprietary chemistry-genomics platform. Acadia's corporate headquarters as well as its biological research facilities are located in San Diego, California and its chemistry research facilities are located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
