The global supplier of networking and security solutions has opened a sales office in Copenhagen to accelerate growth in Denmark

California based Juniper Networks, a global supplier of networking and security solutions has opened a sales office in Copenhagen to accelerate growth in Denmark. This year Juniper Networks has made a six-fold expansion of its Nordic staff and plans to employ more staff next year.

 

Bjarne Lauritzen, managing director of Juniper Networks in Denmark and head of the Nordic region, says that the chief executive of the company, Scott Kriens, is very interested in the Nordic market because of its world leading ranking in the use of broadband and applications via broadband. Trends seen in the Nordic region are replicated in other areas of the world 6 to 12 months later. In addition to the Nordic region, Korea and Japan are also focused on when the company looks at trends in broadband use.

 

In February Juniper Networks acquired Netscreen, a producer of network security software, for DKK 23 billion (USD 4.1 bn). Juniper Networks is reported to be interested in acquiring further companies that specialise in VoIP and wireless internet access. The news is reported by Computerworld.
