CapMan expands life science business into Denmark

The Nordic private equity company wants to become a leading investor in the Danish medical technology sector

The Nordic private equity investor CapMan will expand its life science business into Denmark. Morten Bro Nielsen, PhD MBA, has been appointed as Investment Director in CapMan's Life Science Business Unit as of 1 February 2004. He will be responsible for investments in the Danish medical technology sector. Morten Bro Nielsen joins CapMan from the Danish diagnostics company Radiometer.

 

According to Morten Bro Nielsen, CapMan's cash fund of DKK 256 million (USD 44 million) is for investments in companies that make medical equipment. CapMan has for example invested in the Swedish company JoLife which has developed equipment for cardiac massage. CapMan expects to make its first Danish life science investment in 2004.
