Exiqon is among the 100 finalists in California media company Red Herring's world competition for the most innovative company in biotech, IT and communication technology. More than 1,200 entries from over 900 companies were whittled down to 100 finalists by the Red Herring editorial team. Other finalists include Google, Cisco Systems and IBM. The announcement of the winner will take place during Red Herring's autumn conference 6 – 8 December.

 

Exiqon was founded in 1996 and is based in Vedbæk north of Copenhagen. The company provides solutions for life scientists worldwide through the application of two core technologies Locked Nucleic Acid (LNA) and Anthraquinone Photochemistry (AQ-Link). Exiqon's fundamental business strategy is to allow third parties access to exploit its innovative R&D projects and proprietary technologies through licensing, partnering, and OEM agreements.
