Danish software developer Commwyse receives new investment  

The software fledgling has received a DKK 5.1 mn investment from the French investment company Ixcore and Danish venture company DTU Innovation

Danish software developer Commwyse has received a DKK 5.1 mn (USD 816,000) investment comprising DKK 3.6 mn (USD 576,000) from the French investment company Ixcore and DKK 1.5 mn (USD 240,000) from the Danish venture company DTU innovation. Commwyse has developed a programme which can simulate how a mobile network behaves. The product is almost complete and Commwyse now plans to start sales and marketing.


The aim of the network simulator is to enable mobile network operators to ensure data quality of new services before they are launched to users. The target group is the approx. 500 mobile operators worldwide who run their own GSM mobile networks.


Commwyse develops, sells and supports unique tools for mobile operators for predicting and planning mobile data services. Commwyse was founded in October 2003 and is based in Kongens Lyngby close to Copenhagen. The company is owned by the founder Erik K. Nielsen, Research Center COM at the Technical University of Denmark, DTU Innovation and Ixcore. The news is reported by Computerworld online.
