Danish electronics, optics and acoustics company Delta has received an order to supply 700,000 chips for a motorway payment system in Chile. Delta collaborates with the Swedish company Kapsch Traficcom AB which makes the payment system, while Delta supplies the chips used in the system. The new order is worth DKK 21 mn (USD 3.4 mn). The Danish company developed the chip for the BroBizz payment system which is in use on the Great Belt Bridge between Zealand and Funen, and on the Øresund bridge between Denmark and Sweden.

Following Delta's success with BroBizz, it gained an order for chips in connection with the 2000 Olympic Games in Australia. The concept has since been sold for payment systems on bridges, roads and ferries all over the world. Per Hartlev, director of Delta, says the company today is a total supplier of BroBizz components and has a significant market share worldwide. The news is reported by national newspaper Berlingske Tidende.
