New figures from the European Commission show that Denmark has more high speed internet connections on a per capita basis than any other EU country. 14% of all Danes have broadband connections, which is double the EU average. After Denmark, Belgium and Holland have most high speed internet connections with 13.2 and 12% respectively.

 

Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Helge Sander is very satisfied with Denmark's leading position. In comparison to last year the national coverage of broadband has increased by 4.2%. By the end of 2005, 98% of the country will have access to broadband connections. The news is reported by Ritzau.
