Microsoft enters agreement with Novo Nordisk's IT company

Microsoft Business Solutions headquartered in Vedbæk near Copenhagen, has entered an agreement with NNIT to qualify Microsoft Axapta for Life Sciences

Microsoft Business Solutions headquartered in Vedbæk near Copenhagen, has entered an agreement with the Novo Nordisk's IT company, NNIT, to qualify a new software product Microsoft Axapta for Life Sciences. The software solution is designed to address and simplify the regulatory compliance issues unique to the life sciences industry, including pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies and companies that make medical devices.

 

NNIT will control and document that Microsoft Axapta meets all legal requirements and can be approved by the FDA.. The agreement also means that NNIT will certify partners whose solutions are built onto the Axapta platform so that these can also be approved by the FDA.. NNIT has established a division to handle the order from Microsoft.

 

John Vammen, functional manager at NNIT and responsible for the agreement with Microsoft Business Solutions says that the agreement could generate multimillion revenues over the next three years. Microsoft Axapta for Life Sciences is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2005 and will be available in the US, Canada, EU and Switzerland. The news is reported by national newspaper Berlingske Tidende and on NNIT's website.
