New figures from the IT Industry Association show that more than half a million mobile phones were sold on the Danish market in October and November [total population in Denmark is 5.3 million - Ed]. Jakob Lyngsø, managing director of the IT Industry Association says that revenue figures from Xmas shopping indicate that 2004 will be a record year for mobile phone sales in Denmark.

 

The many new features such as camera, radio, MMS and games attract customers since they get more for their money today, Jakob Lyngsø adds.

 

2003 has so far been the best year with a total of 1.6 million phones sold. The industry estimates that this figure was already reached by November this year. The news is reported by online IT news site Comon.
