Employment in the Danish IT industry is surging ahead after several years' downturn with Dell Denmark exemplifying the trend. Dell Denmark plans to employ 90 additional people in the coming months, a 25% increase in staff. Managing director of Dell Denmark Guy Auger says the additional staff are needed due to a growth surge in sales of PCs.

Other IT companies increasing their staff are consulting firms Accenture and Aston Business Solutions, which recently sought a large number of new staff in response to increasing orders, and Germany's SAP announced a few days ago that it is seeking 25 new consultants in Denmark.

Tom Togsverd, industry director of the IT sector office at the Confederation of Danish Industries, thinks that increased employment is a general trend. The number of IT task to be carried out are growing and so companies are prepared to invest more. The news is reported by national newspaper Berlingske Tidende online.
