The Danish company MedChem will conduct contract research including organic synthesis of new or known chemical compounds

A new biotech company, MedChem, has been established in Symbion Science Park in Copenhagen. The fledgling firm is a contract research company specialising in organic synthesis of new or known chemical compounds. MedChem can also contribute to the selection and development of chemical substances having potential as drugs, also know as lead structures.

 

One of MedChem's founders, Thomas Boesen, says that the idea is that besides being a synthesis company, MedChem can also contribute as a collaboration partner in the selection and development of potential leads. One of the first contracts has been entered with the Swedish company Biolipox AB which researches into drugs for respiratory diseases. The news is reported by BiotechDenmark online.
