The Danish biotech company yesterday announced that it has created the world's largest drug-like library for drug candidate discovery

Biotech company Nuevolution yesterday announced that it has created what it believes to be the world's largest drug-like library comprising 100 million compounds for drug candidate discovery. From the library, Nuevolution has identified novel drug candidates which inhibit the cancer target integrin avBeta3.

Zahed Subhan, managing director of Nuevolution says its Chemetics technology will revolutionise drug discovery processes since it is the only technology which successfully can combine ultra large libraries of billions of small molecules with an accurate selection method. Nuevolution is currently aiming to consolidate its internal drug discovery pipeline and is seeking alliances with leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies. The news is reported by BiotechDenmark online.
