RTX Telecom wins international contract

The Danish wireless technology developer has closed a DKK 10 million contract with a major international company to develop a wireless product

RTX Telecom has closed a DKK 10 million contract (USD 1.6 million) with a major international company to develop a wireless product. The name of the customer and the actual product type have not been disclosed. RTX Telecom has however stated that the product uses the same 2.4 GHz ISM band as Bluetooth technology and wireless local nets, known as WLAN or WiFi.

 

RTX Telecom is headquartered in Nørresundby, north Jutland and specialises in the development of advanced wireless communication solutions across the entire range of wireless technologies (W-WAN, W-LAN, and W-PAN). It has recently established a US subsidiary in San José, California under the name RTX America, Inc. Customers include Siemens, Ericsson, Panasonic, National Semiconductor, Nortel Networks and Bang & Olufsen. The news is reported by Computerworld online.
