The University of Southern Denmark (SDU) has established a new nanobio centre NanoBiC to prioritise research in nanobioscience and nanobiotech

The University of Southern Denmark (SDU) has established a new nanobio centre NanoBiC as a part of its strategy to prioritise research areas such as nanobioscience and nanobiotech. NanoBic will be an interdisciplinary centre aiming at creating new knowledge in the fields of biophysics, chemistry, molecular biology and life science.

Nanobiotech is an area in strong growth and considered to be one of the most promising in relation to industrial implementation and impact of nanotechnology. SDU forecasts that R&D will lead to the use of nano units for e.g. transport of drugs in human beings. The first students have been planned to start at NanoBiC in September this year. The news is reported by BiotechDenmark online.
