The South Korean electronics giant has chosen Denmark as a base for achieving continued growth on the Nordic market

Denmark has been chosen as a base for Samsung's continued growth on the Nordic market with the first step being the establishment of a country office in Copenhagen. Over the last five years, Samsung has quadrupled its revenues on the Nordic market, the growth being especially due to increasing sales on the Danish market.

Thomas Anderfelt, marketing director of Samsung Nordic AB says that Denmark is important to Samsung because of the good prospects for market growth. Samsung plans to launch 140 different mobile phones worldwide in 2005 of which 15 are expected to be launched on the Nordic market, including 3G phones. The news is reported by national newspaper Jyllands-Posten online.
