A consortium comprising the Swedish Embassy in Denmark, the Swedish Trade Council and Invest in Sweden will hold an exchange seminar in Odense, Funen on March 3rd concerning protein research. Bengt Johansson at the Swedish Trade Council in Copenhagen says Odense is world leading proteomics centre, which makes it a natural subject to focus on at the seminar.

According to Bengt Johansson the consortium wants to promote Swedish protein research and stimulate collaboration between private companies. The exchange seminar will take place at the University of Southern Denmark. Leading researchers from Amersham Biosciences and Biovitrum will attend the meeting and professor Fredrik Pontén from Uppsala University will speak on his research into the humane genome. Professor Peter Mose Larsen from the Centre of Protein Analysis will be chairing the proceedings. The news is reported by BiotechDenmark online.
