Giritech signs major funding deal with Nordic Venture Partners and the Danish Growth Fund

Giritech, an innovative Danish software development company, has gained a multimillion kroner cash injection in first round funding from Nordic Venture Partners and The Danish Growth Fund (Vækstfonden). The money will be used primarily to market, but also to further develop, the company's core technology known as EMCADS.

EMCADS is the first technology designed explicitly to secure pervasive computing, enabling companies to quickly and cost-effectively connect users to applications or content in a way that is both highly secure and ultra mobile. Giritech says that their breakthrough technology reduces real time operating costs, and the company hopes to make EMCADS the new world standard for the secure transmission of all forms of data, services and applications across the Internet.

Giritech was founded in mid 2003 and already markets standalone solutions through a small network of partners in the Scandinavian region. The company's long-term focus involves securing OEM and licensing agreements with strategic infrastructure providers in the IT and telecommunications industries. Giritech has applied for patents protecting its core intellectual property. The news was reported by Børsen.
