Analysis shows solid growth in the Danish IT industry  

Analysis of accounts from more than 300 of the largest IT companies in Denmark shows that total profits increased by almost 300% in just 12 months

An analysis of more than 300 of the largest IT companies in Denmark published by Computerworld shows solid growth in the industry. Computerworld has analysed the company accounts according to a method prepared by Statistics Denmark, Roskilde University and the Royal Danish Library.

Arne R. Steinmark, chief editor of Computerworld says that Danish IT companies are in very fine shape, focusing on growth and attracting capable people. "In just 12 months, total profits of the 300 IT companies have almost tripled," Steinmark comments.

The analysis shows that the 300 IT companies increased their revenues by DKK 13 bn (USD 2.1 bn) compared to the year before. Profits were up by DKK 3.8 bn (USD 608 mn) on the previous year, and 928 more new staff were employed than last year. Based on the analysis, Computerworld yesterday rated the best Danish IT companies in a number of categories which are published on its website.
