Butlernetworks receives major investment from its US owners  

Copenhagen headquartered telecompany Butlernetworks has received DKK 60 mn from its US owner Norwest Equity Partners for wireless technology investments

Butlernetworks has received DKK 60 mn (USD 10.8 mn) from its US owner Norwest Equity Partners. The money will be used for investments in Butlernetworks' wireless broadband technologies FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) and Wimax . The Copenhagen headquartered telecompany plans to launch the Wimax technology in Denmark 1 February. The bandwidth will be a minimum of 4 Mb/s, and the product will primarily be targeted to the corporate sector.


Søren Støvring-Hallsson, managing director of Butlernetworks says the company first achieved positive operating profits in September 2004: "We have been running with a positive result since then and that makes us believe in our business activities", he says. Butlernetworks is a wholesale dealer and a leading supplier of broadband solutions. It offers its services through partners including teleoperators and system integrators.
