CSC Denmark has gained a DKK 40 m order from Norway's Statoil to handle the operation of the oil company's payment systems which are used at petrol stations across Scandinavia

CSC Denmark has gained a DKK 40 m (USD 6.4 m) order over the next three years from Norway's Statoil to handle the operation of the oil company's payment systems which are used at petrol stations in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Until now the operation of these systems has been outsourced to the Norwegian based EDB Business Partner.

Jesper Kryhlmand, managing director of CSC Denmark comments: "It is a very attractive agreement with a very large company. We naturally hope that we will be invited to bid for further tasks in the future."

The global CSC concern has five large operation centres worldwide, one of which is placed in Copenhagen. CSC Denmark manages IT operations for a large number of European companies. In 2004, revenues in the Danish division increased by 35.3% to more than DKK 2.6 bn (USD 416 m). CSC Denmark employs 2,600 people. The news was reported by Computerworld.
